FlavoursMy chocolate mud cake is the most popular choice and is one of the best cakes to work with (and eat). It is a lovely moist, not too rich chocolate cake which is suitable for children and adults.
I have been teaching and decorating for many years for myself and also for the well respected Planet Cake in Sydney. Based on this experience I know how important it is for your cake to not only look sharp and stylish but it must taste fantastic too. Each tier is cut into three layers. Each layer is filled with the finest couverture chocolate (white or dark) ganache. The cake is then completely covered in (white or dark) chocolate ganache, iced and decorated with fondant icing. Each tier is at least 10cms in height and has sharp straight edges. Not all cake decorators layer their cakes with ganache or offer 10cm high tiers as standard.
Chocolate Mud Cake: Definitely a favorite. This is a moist, rich chocolate mud cake which appeals to adults and children and is perfect for sculpted cakes.
White Chocolate Mud: A divine light white chocolate mud cake. Very popular with children and very good as an alternative to my chocolate mud cake.
Carrot and Orange: Another moist cake with carrot and walnuts and just a hint of orange.
Orange and Poppyseed: A light orange flavoured cake with poppyseeds.
Almond and Coconut: A nutty almond cake with a touch of coconut.
Red Velvet: It is a light, moist, mouth watering cake and it is red.
Jaffa Mud Cake: Just like a chocolate mud cake with a lovely hint of orange. |
